DAY ONE                                        D   

Today, we fly from Tauranga, soaring over the breathtaking Southern Alps into the stunning Alpine Resort of Queenstown. Once settled into our hotel, we head to the picturesque pier on Lake Wakatipu's shores to board the iconic 105-year-old TSS Earnslaw steamship. This enchanting cruise takes us across the lake to the renowned Walter Peak High Country Farm. Here, we’ll indulge in a delicious gourmet buffet dinner at the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant, where talented chefs showcase a variety of local delicacies. After dinner, we’ll enjoy an engaging talk and demonstration, providing insight into life on a high-country farm. As we return aboard the Earnslaw, Queenstown’s twinkling lights will create a magical atmosphere on the water. Our delightful evening concludes with a return to the luxurious Queenstown Heritage Hotel, where we’ll rest and prepare for more adventures ahead. What a perfect introduction to the beauty and charm of this remarkable region!

DAY TWO                                       B, MT, D   

Central Otago is renowned for its world-class pinot noir wines and stunning autumn colours. This morning, we begin with a visit to Cromwell, where we’ll enjoy the beauty of Lake Dunstan’s pristine waters before stopping for morning tea at The Black Rabbit Kitchen. A scenic drive through the region showcases Bannockburn’s autumn hues and the Clutha River’s serene charm, ending in the historic town of Clyde. Here, you’ll have free time to explore, grab lunch, and perhaps sample some of the famous local pinot noir. After lunch, we divide into two groups for a two-hour jet boat ride along the Clutha River, where we’ll see historic gold mining sites and the impressive Clyde Dam. Later, we’ll continue our scenic journey through Roxburgh and Alexandra, marvelling at Central Otago’s breathtaking landscapes. We return to our hotel in the evening, reflecting on a day filled with nature, history, and adventure

DAY THREE                                    B, MT, D   

We’re off on an adventure today, so be sure to fuel up with a hearty breakfast! Our 4WD tour takes us deep into the legendary Skippers Canyon, following the winding path of the Shotover River. Steeped in rich gold-mining history and boasting dramatic geological formations, this journey offers breathtaking views of the high southern country—perfect for capturing stunning photos of the landscape. Midday brings free time to the charming village of Arrowtown, where you can enjoy lunch at one of its delightful cafes, browse unique boutiques, and admire the historic stone buildings. The region’s famous autumn colours will be on full display, with vivid hues of gold, yellow, and red providing a spectacular backdrop. As evening falls, we ascend to new heights via the Skyline Gondola, reaching Bob’s Peak for a dining experience at the Stratosfare Restaurant. Enjoy a delicious meal paired with panoramic views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu.

DAY FOUR                                       B, MT, L   

For our final day, we’re taking a drive out to Glenorchy. Described as a fabulous paradise, this small settlement at the northern end of Lake Wakatipu is the gateway to some of the world’s best walking tracks, including the Routeburn Track. Situated within the borders of Mt Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks, it’s here that many visitors the world over make the pilgrimage to stand and marvel at the astonishingly beautiful location of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy movies. Our afternoon activities may vary depending on flight departures today.
